Summer Rains

December was hot and dry with the surroundings “drying out”. However, just before Christmas that all changed quickly with 113ml (4 and a half inches) of rain on a Sunday afternoon.
This seemed to set the pattern for the summer as every few weeks after dry hot weather we have had rain.
The downpour on the 18th of December left many paddocks under water, & also the local council grader which had been parked at our front gate for the weekend.
We have had to perform extensive maintenance work to repair tracks, roads and channels that had been damaged by large volumes of water.Some photos below.

Local Races

Every second Saturday in December Moulamein holds its annual running of the Moulamein Cup.
This year was another successful and wonderful day, and marked the 133rd Cup
