Shearing sale rams

The Keri-Keri 8 – 9 month old sale rams are brought in for shearing to get them ready for the Annual Ram Sale. The rams have 5 months wool, and averaged 3.25 kg, some cutting up to 5kg kg of wool. Approximate staple length averaged 60mm.

Wool weights of each ram are individually recorded for later use as information provided to ram buyers. The shearers often comment on the plain bodied – free skins of the rams.
